Rachel Mole Designs is a baby and mama knitwear and gift brand, inspired by my journey into motherhood after becoming a mum to my three children in 2007.

All I ever wanted to be was a "Mum."  Motherhood has been the most wonderful gift and there is truly nothing more precious than new life.

When my babies were born, I loved receiving hand knitted outfits and gifts personalised with their names. They felt incredibly special, the kind of pieces you treasure forever. Before long, I began making them for friends and family and soon people were asking to buy them from me.

I have always loved crafting. I learnt to knit at the age of eight, with the help and guidance of my beloved Granny, spending time together knitting simple squares and scarves. I began creating personalised, hand painted wooden keepsakes when my first two children, Ruby & Billy, were little.

It wasn’t until my third child Joey was born that I truly found my confidence in knitting and from that moment little mole was created. Our surname is Mole, so the name little mole just felt perfect!

As Little Mole evolved, I began creating knits for Mamas, using the same wool I use for my baby blankets, designed to coordinate beautifully with my baby knits. Each piece is either made to order or a one of a kind creation.

All of my baby knitwear is lovingly crafted from a luxurious blend of merino, cashmere and silk, while my baby blankets & Mama Mole designs are made from a super chunky 100% pure merino wool. These natural fibres are incredibly soft and kind to delicate skin, while also being breathable, sustainable, made to last and super comfortable.
